Cemat Fair at Hannover

Hey everybody, today i visited the Cemat Fair at Hannover. It is a fair about logistic solutions, starting with the folk lift trucks, and other mobilitys to transpart pallates and boxes. It have been about 2 halls with manufactors of those equipment, kinda boring,but some of their new products looked kinda like some fighters in Star Wars, pretty crazy isn’t it?

It was more exciting to see the new warehouse solutions. Even in the conveyor belt technology there have been some really nice improvemts. One manufacture made a solution where the belt is running like a spiral stair, that means that the cartons can’t foll off anymore or do block the system.  Also nice was a solution from the firm called Bizerba, the have an highspeed scale who takes the weight and the measurements while the belt is going on with 3 metres per seconds and they shoot the shipment label on the package with air pressure, and send your KEP service the data via telecommunication to your freight forwarder.

There was also a machine who was juggling some balls, very nice. It works with an accurancy of 100%. Maybe you do the picks via grabbing them in the air in the future? Would be a hard work for your employees ^^, but nice too watch when the miniskirts lifts up while they try to pick the goods^^*smile*

There were only few information about RFID solutions, the manufactures are far behind the retailers, who really start intigrating the system, for e.g. Karstadt and Kaufhof, which have large shopping centers… They should wake up pretty soon or the will miss a market. The barcode system is loosing its priority , get it guys.

I enjoyed really to drink some coffee with the consulting companys, who had really the nicest babes with the shortest miniskirts for bringing you the coffee, always good to get up some relationships ;-)
